Description	:	Max Wayne Roth, 82, of Laguna Woods, Calif., formerly of Wayland, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Orange County, Calif., from a progressive heart condition. Born Jan. 24, 1929, near Olds, he was the son of Clarence "Bud" and Mabel Meyer Roth. On May 16, 1948, he married Berniece Graber in Wayland. Mr. Roth was a farmer and operated several livestock auctions including in Wayland and the Middletown Livestock Auction. Read More	Max Wayne Roth, 82, of Laguna Woods, Calif., formerly of Wayland, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, in Orange County, Calif., from a progressive heart condition. Born Jan. 24, 1929, near Olds, he was the son of Clarence "Bud" and Mabel Meyer Roth. On May 16, 1948, he married Berniece Graber in Wayland. Mr. Roth was a farmer and operated several livestock auctions including in Wayland and the Middletown Livestock Auction. He spent most of his life in the Wayland area and moved with his wife to California in 2007. He was a member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland. He and his wife volunteered with many charitable organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and Heifer International and traveled with family members to China, India, Africa, Europe and the Holy Land. He attended athletic and events, where his sons or grandchildren participated and high school, college and professional ball games with family and friends. He enjoyed family and friends and meeting and talking with people. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Duane Roth, Theodore Roth, Gordon Roth, Byron Roth and Courtney Roth; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Evelyn Garrett of Wayland; and one brother, Wilbur Roth of Denver. No visitation is planned. The body has been donated to University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine Willed Body Donor Program. The memorial service for Mr. Roth will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland. Friends and family are invited to a reception following the service.
