Description	:	Maxine B. Yoder, 93, of Brookston, currently of Delphi, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She was born April 1, 1928 in Brookston, Indiana to the late Fred J. and Rosina M. (Ruemler) Wagner and was a 1946 graduate of Brookston High School. After high school, Maxine attended Indiana University in accounting. Her marriage of 54 years was to Paul D. Yoder on June 20, 1948 in St. James Lutheran Church of Reynolds. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2003. Maxine worked as a teller supervisor for Union Bank & Trust (now Regions Bank) in Delphi for over 30 years. A dedicated mother, Maxine always enjoyed working and taking care of her children. Maxine grew up in the St. James Lutheran Church family. She later attended the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in Monticello, where she helped make braille bibles for the blind. Maxine loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crafts, especially quilting and was a big fan of IU athletics. Surviving are her sons, Gary Yoder (wife: Ginny) of Flora, Dan Yoder (wife: Susan) of Avon and Rick Yoder (wife: Connie) of Brookston; a daughter, Diana Klopfenstein (husband: Lester) of Rockfield and one brother, Jim Wagner (wife: Doris) of Brookston. Maxine was so proud of her 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death with her husband and parents is a brother, Bill Wagner St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Reynolds.and her sister, Selma Strantz.
