Maxine was born on May 9, 1925, the daughter of Otto & Grace (Doty) Buchholz in Clarksville, Iowa. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1943. Read More	Maxine Yarcho, 78, of Shell Rock, Iowa, formerly of New Hartford, Iowa, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at the Shell Rock Care Center due to complications of cancer. Maxine was born on May 9, 1925, the daughter of Otto & Grace (Doty) Buchholz in Clarksville, Iowa. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1943. Also in 1943, Maxine was united in marriage to Paul Yarcho in Clarksville. He passed away in 1948. On September 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert Yarcho in Clarksville. The couple lived in the Clarksville and Shell Rock areas until purchasing a farm near New Hartford. They lived on their farm until moving back to Shell Rock, most recently at the Shell Rock Care Center. Maxine enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family. Maxine is survived by her husband, Robert, of Shell Rock; four daughters and their spouses: Pat and Steve Moore of New Hartford, Pam and Howard Kyhl of New Hartford, Joan and Leland Ackerson of Janesville, and Jackie and Ed Manuell of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one son and his spouse, Bob and Diane Yarcho of Shell Rock; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters Madeline Yarcho of Washington and Sandy Rodenbeck of Shell Rock; and two brothers: Marvin Buchholz of Germany and Bernard Buchholz of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Yarcho; one sister, Betty Bell; and three brothers, Burr Buchholz, Lyle Buchholz, and Harold Zimmer. A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2003, at The Meadows Assisted Living Chapel in Shell Rock. Burial was at a later date in Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville, Iowa. Her body was cremated. Memorials were directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Shell Rock Care Center or the New Hartford United Methodist Church. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock was in charge of arrangements.
