Maxine is survived by her husband Cecil; two daughters, Julie (Bob) Breja, Belle Plaine, Jeanne (Ed) Langhurst, Marion; a daughter in law, Sandy Roberts, Brooklyn; eight grandchildren, Shawn Roberts, Brooklyn, Scott Roberts, Brooklyn, Jason Roberts (Angela McCammant), Deep River, Amber Muntz, Phoenix, AZ, Ed Langhurst, Cedar Rapids, Carly Robertson, Marion, Shannon (Derek) Brimeyer, Balltown, Joey (Kayla) Breja, Pella; thirteen great-grandchildren, Matthew, Dalton, Cody, Levi, Breanna, Eli, Emily, Jerica, Aadin, Jaadin, Ashley, Braelyn and Blake; and one great great-grandson, Caden; two sisters, Kay Ostrom, Brooklyn, Shirley Blomme, Hartwick; and a very special friend Jeani Brandt. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Terry, three brothers Edward, Wally and Dee Roth; and two sisters Ellie Bevins, Vivian Himschoot. Maxine Roth was born January 26, 1930, in rural Hartwick, the daughter of Fritz and Gertrude Dee Roth. She graduated from Hartwick Schools. Maxine and Cecil were united in marriage May 4, 1948, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn, Iowa. She was a member of St. Bridget’s and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Altar and Rosary. She was a cook at the Hartwick School and later worked at Amana Refrigeration. She sold Stanley Home Products and also helped Cecil in their Amoco Oil business with the bookkeeping. Maxine was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, going to bingo and to the casino, reading, and playing cards. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, her special pet Murphy and wintering in Florida.
