Maxine Juanita Sands, daughter of Elva and Lulu Servis, was born August 26, 1915, near Anthon. She lived her entire life in this community. She was the oldest child in a family of 5. On September 6, 1933, she married Rudolph Sands in Sioux City. They were parents of one daughter and four sons. For the last nineteen years she and her family lived on a farm seven miles southwest of Anthon. She attended the Anthon Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, four sons, Gerald of Allen, Nebraska, Jay of Kearney, Nebraska, Steven and Randy at home, her mother, Mrs. Lulu Rupp of Sioux City, six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Dean Clark of Sioux City, three brothers, Richard Servis of Sioux City, Calvin Servis of Smithland, and Gene Rupp of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her father, one daughter and one grandson.
