Read More	Maxine Katherine Parrott Maxine Katherine Parrott entered the arms of the Lord on October 26, 2017 at her Colville home, she was 90. She was born on July 4, 1927 to Frank and Ella (Murdock) Huguenin at the family home on Valley West Side Road in Colville, WA. At a young age the family moved to a farm on Narcisse Creek and Maxine attended the Narcisse Creek School and later went to school in Colville. When she was 17, she met and married her soul mate, Roy Sailor on December 26, 1944. To that union six children were born. Roy was killed in 1956 in an industrial accident that left Maxine a window at the age of 29 and a single parent to raise their 6 children. In March 1959 Maxine married Clarence Green and to that union they had 2 daughters. On October 10, 1969 Maxine married Bill Parrott. Maxine worked for years as a Nurses Aid in nursing homes and in-home care. After her husband Bill retired, they purchased a motor home and they traveled to several states and enjoyed camping and fishing with their family. Family was very important to Maxine. After she retired she enjoyed volunteering at the Keller Museum for years. She loved meeting new people and sharing the rich history of the Colville Valley in which she lived most of her life. Maxine volunteered at Parkview’s retirement home where she called out Bingo numbers and helped with fundraisers like the yearly yard sale. She was a member of the Northeast Washington Fair Board and was the Superintendant of the exhibit hall for quilts, sewing, home crafts and much more for many years. During the fair you could always find Maxine at the exhibit hall attending to the many items exhibited to keep them just so. Maxine exhibited many of her own needle craft items for which she received many ribbons over the years. Maxine was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Colville where she volunteered as a nursery attendant and served the Lord in many ways from helping with church dinners and other needs. Maxine taught us that you are never too old to learn. These last few years she took classes to learn painting china dishes and crocheting hats with pompoms on top for the babies at the crisis nursery. She leaves a legacy of a life well lived and what is truly important. Love of the Lord, Love of family, and love of community and country. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ella Huguenin; first husband, Roy Sailor and husband, Bill Parrott; sons, Clarence and Michael Sailor, daughters, Ellen Brown and Gail Lyng. Funeral services for Maxine Parrott will be held at the Free Methodist Church in Colville, WA at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 with Pastor Richard Dickinson presiding.
