She was born March 1, 1919 in Clay County, Kansas, the daughter of Victor and Ellen (Loberg) Strom. Maxine was born and raised near Morganville, KS and graduated from CCCHS in 1936. She married Lawrence Habluetzel on May 24, 1937. She worked as a bookkeeper for Clay Center Livestock Sales and was a homemaker. Maxine was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Evangelical Covenant Church c/o the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.nsrfh.com.
