Description	:	Maxine Mary Krause, 71, of Albion died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. Maxine was born March 27, 1923, on a farm southeast of Petersburg, to Henry and Florence (Julich) Leifeld. On Feb. 12, 1945, Maxine married to Arthur Krause at St. John's Catholic Church in Petersburg. Read More	Maxine Mary Krause, 71, of Albion died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. Maxine was born March 27, 1923, on a farm southeast of Petersburg, to Henry and Florence (Julich) Leifeld. On Feb. 12, 1945, Maxine married to Arthur Krause at St. John's Catholic Church in Petersburg. Survivors are: son and daughter-in-law, David and Bonnie of Yankton, S.D., and Bullhead City, Ariz; daughters and one son-in-law, Diane and Ralpy Naber of Grand Island, and Mary Jo "Jodi" Krohn of Albion; brother, Henry Leifeld of Petersburg; and a sister, Dolores Bostetter of San Jose, Calif; granddaughter, Cynthia Johnson, and her husband, Rod; grandsons, Chris and his wife Julie, Jeffrey, Brian and Daniel Naber, Steven Krohn and his wife, Kendra, and Scott Krohn and his wife, Micah; and great-grandchildren, Sean and Kasi Kuta, Paige, Kaylee, Hannah, and Brooklyn Krohn, Tate Zwiebel and Sophia Naber. Maxine was baptized on Easter Sunday in 1923 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and confirmed there in 1937. She attended elementary and high school at St. John's in Petersburg, graduating in 1941. After their marriage, Maxine and Arthur lived in Petersburg until 1947 when they moved to a farm west of Albion following Arthur's return from military service. They moved to Albion in 1977. Art died in April 1994. Maxine moved to Harmony Homes in 1999. In 2010, Maxine moved to Good Samaritan Estates and then to the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. Maxine was employed at the Nebraska Ordnance Plant at Mead during World War II. She later worked for 19 years at the ASCS office in Albion as custodian. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Petersburg until 1947. When they moved to the Albion area she became a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Michael's Altar Society and Maple Center Club. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Henry Jr., Wilfred and Robert; sisters, Florentine Burns and Maria Graham; infant brother Joseph; and son-in-law: Dick Krohn.
