Description	:	Maxine N. Pittman, 82, of Manson, died Monday, Mar. 12, 2007, at Regency Manor Care Center in Chelan. She was born July 3, 1924, at Athol, ID the daughter of William A. and Nora (Henson) Brown. At an early age, she moved with her family to Yakima, where she attended school, graduating from high school. After graduating, she worked in Portland during World War II as a machinist. Pittman, 82, of Manson, died Monday, Mar. 12, 2007, at Regency Manor Care Center in Chelan. She was born July 3, 1924, at Athol, ID the daughter of William A. and Nora (Henson) Brown. At an early age, she moved with her family to Yakima, where she attended school, graduating from high school. After graduating, she worked in Portland during World War II as a machinist. On May 5, 1946, she was married to Harold Pittman at Yakima. They made their home in Seattle. She worked at Boeing for a short time, but then stayed at home to raise their three sons. When the children were grown, she worked for Columbia Printing in Seattle until they moved to Manson in 1982. Maxine was a member of North Shore Bible Church in Manson where she sang in the choir and prepared communion for many years. While in Seattle she was a member of a ladies singing group called, Mother Singers for a number of years. She was also a member of the Greater Federation of Women. She loved to sing, garden and especially loved her roses. She is survived by her husband of the home; three sons, Terry (Linda) Pittman of Kent, Richard (Kathy) Pittman of Manson and Harold N. (Sherry) Pittman of Kent; one sister, Nina Overman of Seattle; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Service of Commemoration will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 10 am from North Shore Bible Church in Manson. Committal Service and interment will follow in Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 8:30 to 9:30 am. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
