Interment: Norway Cemetery, Devils Lake, ND Maxine Sylvia Kroll was born, January 20, 1928 in Devils Lake, the daughter of Willard and Albina (Doyle) Kroll. She was educated at the Penn, ND school. Maxine married Donald Christianson and they farmed in Ramsey County for several years before moving to Devils Lake. She was employed with Mann's Department Store while they raised their family. In 1965, they moved to Corvallis, OR, where they lived until Donald's death in 2003. She was employed at Lipmann's Department Store and Berlene's Dress Shop until her retirement. She moved to Grand Forks and lived at Tufte Manor for eight years and Valley Eldercare Center for two years. She was an excellent cook and baker. Everyone always requested her special lemon bars for any gathering of family and friends. She and Donald loved to dance and spent many happy times on the dance floor. Maxine was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; sisters, Bernice Sharbono and Mary Starret; brothers-in-law, Clayton Christianson, Ray Foss and Francis Sharbono; sisters-in-law, Agnes and Viola Christianson and nephews, Jim and Tim Sharbono.
