Jenk, 82, a Dyersville attorney, died Tuesday morning at Mercy St. Mary's Unit in Dyersville. He was born Jan. 27, 1902, In Michigan. He graduated from the Drake Law School In 1925 and started practice in Dyersville in 1926. He married Lyodia Frommelt on April 10, 1929, in Dyersville. He was the senior partner in the Jenk, Jenk, Goen and McClean law firm. He was past president of the Dubuque County Bar Association, a member of the American Bar Association, a director of the Farley State Bank, a fourth-degree member of the Dyersville Council Knights of Columbus, a former member of the Iowa Central Committee and treasurer of the Iowa Democratic Party. He was one of the founders of the Dyersville Country Club and the Dyersville Commercial Club. Survivors in addition to his wife are one son, Tom, and one daughter, Mrs. Jeanne Goen, both of Dyersville; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Lloyd Jenk of Wauwatosa, Wis., and Robert of Dayton, Ohio; and one sister, Leona Barrett of Moline, 111. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier. Burial: church cemetery.
