Description	:	Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. funeral services for Mrs. James Cox were held in First Methodist church. Rev. E. E. Basye performed the services. Burial was in the West cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Schroyer, Howard Smith, Clair Cullins, Bernyl Wells, Doyle Nefzger and George Schatz. Maybelle S. Cox, daughter of Charles and Minnie Archer, was born on April 7, 1887 in Dover township. She moved with her parents to West Union in 1907 where she spent the remainder of her life. Cox, daughter of Charles and Minnie Archer, was born on April 7, 1887 in Dover township. She moved with her parents to West Union in 1907 where she spent the remainder of her life. She was united in marriage on March 30, 1909 to James T. Cox and to this, union were born two daughters. Mrs. Cox was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Past Noble Grand Club of that lodge and was an honorary member of the Union Study club. She served as a rural mail carrier substitute on West Union rural route No. 1 for 22 years, of which her husband was the regular carrier. Maybelle Cox died at the age of 79 in the Good Samaritan home on Dec. 11. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, a brother, Roy; two sisters, Mildred and Maude, and a grandson, Thomas Cline. She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Mrs. Iva Cline; two brothers, James and Lorenzo, Washington, and five sisters. Mrs. Ellen Davis, Honolulu, Hawaii; Mrs. Virginia Graves, Miami, Fla.; Clara Belle Lamb, Mrs. Alice Thompson and Mrs. Janice Coleman, Washington; two grand children James Cline and Mary Cline.
