Read More	Cherokee Courier: April 6, 1967: Page 2 Maydar P. Lux, 70, who lived at 904 West Willow, died here Thursday noon following a six-month illness. He was born Nov. 25, 1896 in Rock Township. On Jan. 22, 1918, he was married to Anna Henke in Visitation Church at Maryhill. He lived and farmed in Rock Township all of his life until his retirement in 1962. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Cherokee Council. His parents, Peter and Catharine Begler Lux, preceded him in death Survivors are the widow, Anna of Cherokee; four sons, Floyd Lux of Cherokee, Orman of Jefferson, Paul of Cherokee and Joe of Osage; two daughters Mrs. Joe (Mary Lou) Wiemold and Mrs. Richard (Frances Ann) Rupp, both of Cherokee, and 23 grandchildren. A brother, Louis Lux of Mitchell, S. D. and a sister, Mrs. Art (Gladys) Nelson of Storm Lake, also survive. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Robert Dougherty as Celebrant of Requiem High Mass. Burial was in Visitation Cemetery at Maryhill. Rosary was recited Saturday at 8:15 p. m. and Sunday at 8 p.m. in Greenwood Funeral Home Knights of Columbus recited there Sunday at 2 p.m.
