Mayme had recently enjoyed the Hunt Family Reunion, seeing family members, and visiting "The Ranch" in Morton. Mayme worked as a waitress at White Cottage Café, Redwood Café, and Diones Restaurant. Mayme also enjoyed working at St. Vincent de Paul, retiring in 1995. Mayme had recently enjoyed the Hunt Family Reunion, seeing family members, and visiting "The Ranch" in Morton. Mayme worked as a waitress at White Cottage Café, Redwood Café, and Diones Restaurant. Mayme also enjoyed working at St. Vincent de Paul, retiring in 1995. Everyone loved Mayme, she was a genuinely caring, compassionate person who loved to help everyone and was recently described as "elegant". She would acknowledge any act of kindness with a hearty "Bless You!". Mayme’s daily routine included meeting a group of friends at McDonald’s for coffee, where she "worked" her crossword puzzles, lunch at the Fortuna Senior Center, and a long walk around Campton Heights. Mayme loved to go with Terry to hear music by "Swingin’ Country" band. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. If there was a ballgame or school play, she was there cheering them on. Mayme was an enthusiastic Lakers fan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arvil Qualls; parents, Elexcious and Ethel Hunt; sisters, Katie Kaiser, Fern Jackson, Faye Kaiser, and Gay Sparks. She is survived by brothers, Don, Cleve, and Chad Hunt of Washington. She is also survived by sons, Terry Qualls and wife Marian of Fortuna, Rick Qualls and wife Nannette of Carlotta, Bruce Qualls of Fortuna, and Dennis Qualls of Ruth Lake. She is also survived by grandchildren, Julie Lourenzo, Michelle Rice, Tracy, Jeremy, Tammy, Nicole, Shaelene, Brett, Tara, Chelsi, and Chad Qualls; great-granchildren, Brock, Lexi, Laci, Courtlyn, Coleson, Larissa, Toryn, Vanessa, Jocelyn, and Ani; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Campton Heights Baptist Church on Friday July 20, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. Published in Eureka Times-Standard on July 21, 2007
