Surviving are his wife, Katie Agnes King; one son; seven stepchildren, including George Hite of the home; one brother, Hylton King of Roanoke; two sisters, Olive Barlett and Goldie Poff, both of Floyd County; also four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2000. The Rev. Charles Hoffler will officiate.
