Description	:	McClellan Anderson Dead McClellan Anderson, 67, a bridge foreman on the Burlington, and an old employe of the company, died suddenly last night at his home at 227 South La Selle street. He was stricken in the night and died soon after being taken ill. He Is survived by his widow and two children, Mrs. Ethel Olsen of this city and a son who resides at Bridgeport, Nebr.. Beatrice Daily Sun Beatrice, Nebraska 09 Jan 1930 McClelland C Anderson was born at Dublin Mills, Fulton county, Pa, Jan. 14, 1862. He passed away at his home in Beatrice, Jan. 8, 1930. His age was 68 years, 11 months and 24 days. He came to Nebraska in 1874 and located on a farm near Seward. There he grew to manhood. He was there married to Miss Mary Botts, May 10, 1885. He and his family lived at various places In Nebraska, Including a residence of eleven years at Ashland, before coming to Beatrice in 1921. He followed the occupation of carpenter most of his life. For twenty-five years he was a bridge and building foreman with the B. & M. railroad. He built many depots and other railway buildings, including the Burlington depot in Beatrice. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Anderson, with whom he has traveled he journey of life for nearly forty-five years. Of the five children born at his home, but two survive him. They are George Anderson of Bridgeport Neb., and Mrs. Ethel Olson of Beatrice. Hs leaves eleven grand- children and one great grandchild The brothers and sisters who survive him are as follows: Dr. A. A. Anderson of Grand Island; William Anderson of Bradshaw; Rufus Anderson, Mrs. Nellie Buckmaster; Mrs. Emma Ashton and Mrs. Margaret Perrine of Seward; Mrs. Ida Sprague of Los Angeles and Mrs. Berths Calvin of York. He was faithful to his duties Beatrice Daily Sun Beatrice, Nebraska 13 Jan 1930 Contributor: Carmen Gardiner …..until the day of his death. His health was not the best for two years. It did not interfere seriously with his labors. On the morning of Jan. 8, he left his work at Tobias, Neb., and came to his home in Beatrice. He suffered much during the day. In the evening he passed suddenly away. His death was a great shock to the relatives and friends. He was a hard working man and was devoted to his labors. Those who were associated with him recognized his honesty, capability and general worth. The many friends he had made along the journey of life sympathize with the family in their loss. The funeral service was held at the Bergmeyer chapel Jan 11. Rev. C. O. Stuckenbruck had charge of the service. Music was furnished by Mrs. H.R. Baker and Harold Pauley with Mrs. Flora Holmes at the piano. Internment was at the cemetery at Seward. The floral offerings were beautiful.
