He was born on August 20, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Mearl Mason Moore Sr. and Madeline Sterner. He married Linda Miller on June 8, 1957 in Ottumwa, Iowa. Read More	Mearl "Brick" Moore Jr. August 20, 1937 - April 2, 2022 Obituary for Mearl "Brick" Moore Jr. Mearl "Brick" Mason Moore Jr., 84, of rural Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on April 2, 2022 at the Southeast Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. He was born on August 20, 1937 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Mearl Mason Moore Sr. and Madeline Sterner. He married Linda Miller on June 8, 1957 in Ottumwa, Iowa. They shared a wonderful 64 years of marriage together and had two children, Deborah and Kathleen. Brick worked for the Milwaukee/Soo Line/Canadian Pacific Railroad for 37+ years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and cutting down trees on his wooded acreage. He loved spending time with his wife and family. Brick will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Linda Moore; daughter, Kathleen Cloyd of Urbandale, Iowa; two grandchildren, Jill (Derek) Wilkins, Sean Cloyd; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Brayden Wilkins; two brothers, Richard Moore, Dennis Moore; 14 nieces and nephews; and son-in-law, Tim Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah Jackson; son-in-law, Luther Cline; brother, Harold Moore; and sister, Awilda O'Brien. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Floris Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Jackson officiating. Burial will be at the Floris Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association.
