In August, he and his wife would have been married 60 years. A native of Tamassee, SC, Mr. Grant was the son of the late William James, Sr. and Etolis Abercrombie Grant. In addition to his wife, Mr. Grant is survived by son, Tony (Joyce) Grant of Walhalla; daughters, Cindy (Steve) Oliver and Melody (Frank) Shealy, both of Walhalla; niece, Patty Grant (raised in the home) of Walhalla; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Grant was predeceased by brothers, Chris Grant and Bill Grant, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, from the Chapel of Davenport Funeral Home, Walhalla, with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the funeral home. The family is at 633 West Bear Swamp Road, Walhalla, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OMC Hospice of The Foothills, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672 or to Rocky Knoll Baptist Church Helping Hands Fund, P.O.
