Description	:	From the records that I have found, it appears that Medilia or Delia often went by her middle name of Bridget. Bridget McNally is found in the 1870 and 1880 Census records for Chatfield, Minnesota. I believe her first husband was John or Jack Elwood Vreeland. He is named as Jack in their daughter Hazel's obituary, but he is named as John in Medilia's obituary, in their son George's birth record, and in the census records that I have found. I have found four known children of John and Delia: William E.,... Read More	From the records that I have found, it appears that Medilia or Delia often went by her middle name of Bridget. Bridget McNally is found in the 1870 and 1880 Census records for Chatfield, Minnesota. I believe her first husband was John or Jack Elwood Vreeland. He is named as Jack in their daughter Hazel's obituary, but he is named as John in Medilia's obituary, in their son George's birth record, and in the census records that I have found. I have found four known children of John and Delia: William E., Born abt. 1883, Huron, S.D; Last seen in 1940 Census for Sigourney, IA. George Walter, Born 9-14-1884, Huron, S.D. Kate Ethel, Born 10-2-1886, IA; Married Louis E. Stahmann; Died July 8, 1986, Ruck Co., WI. Hazel, Born 11-19-1888, Kansas City, MO. In the 1900 Census for Sioux City, Iowa, George W. and Kate E. were living with John A. and Emma Vreeland. It appears that Emma was John's second wife. There is a marriage record for Elmer E. Vreeland to Emma Freeman or Freyman on May 16, 1894, in Buena Vista, Iowa, and I believe this might be them. Medelia B. Vreeland was married to Thomas Donahon on February 23, 1895, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She later married James E. Tutwiler on June 18, 1903, in Ottumwa, and she and her daughter Hazel are buried beside him. (Names on marriage record in familysearch.org are J.E. Tutwiler and Adelia Donahue.) After James' death, Delia (McNally) Tutwiler married Columbus Jeffers on March 5, 1925, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. In the 1925 Census for Oskaloosa, Delia's sons William Vreeland, age 42, and George W. Vreeland, age 40, were living with Columbus and Delia Jeffers. I have found no record of when Medilia married John Meredith. --------------- Obituary From Ottumwa Daily Courier, Friday, March 6, 1953, Page 13: Ottumwan 63 Years Dies Today At 89 Mrs. Medilia Tutwiler Meridith [sic], 89, of 609 West Second street died at 11 a.m. today at the Rest Haven home. She was born May 23, 1863, the daughter of William and Anna McNally at Chatfield, Minn. She was a resident of Ottumwa for the past 63 years. She was a member of the Methodist church and the King's Guard Sunday school class of the Davis Street Christian church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Creswell of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Louie Stahlman [sic] of Bruce, Wis.; one son, G.W. Vreeland of Milwaukee, Wis.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers. She was preceded in death by three husbands, John Vreeland, J.E. Tutwiler, and John Meridith [sic]; one infant son, Floyd Tutwiler; and one son, William L. Vreeland who died January 14 of this year. The body is at the Reece funeral home. LaVerne Morris of the Davis Street Christian church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denzil Smith, Raymond Neff, Earl Leach, Earl Sallee, and John Shockley.
