She was born on April 15, 1929 in Doctors Inlet, FL to parents Bryant and Selma Mae (Monroe) Carter and had lived in Clay County her entire life. She was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church in Middleburg and had been very active prior to her illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Road in Middleburg, FL. Reverend Charlie Hunt will officiate.
