Description	:	Melba Miller Melba Rose Laufmann, the daughter of Charles F. and Mary Wendorff Laufmann was born on April 6, 1908, at Western, Neb., and passed away at Lincoln General Hospital August 8, 1975, at the age of 67 years, four months, two days. She was united in marriage to John O. Miller of Exeter, Neb., on March 14, 1937, at Western, Neb. She united with the Methodist church at an early age and was a faithful member all of her life having received her 50-year pin. She was also a member of her church's United Methodist Women. She was a devoted wife and other, and will be missed greatly in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister. In passing, she is survived by her husband, John; three children, John C. and wife, Janice of Exeter; Alan and wife, Christine, of Omaha; daughter, Mrs. Sharon Ring and husband, Andrew of Logan, Ia.; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. H.W. Shiner of Saramento, Cal.; one niece and two nephews; a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, August 11, 1975, at the First Methodist Church in Exeter with the Rev. Homer Clements officiating. Soloist, Robert O. Rhodes, sang, "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond the Sunset." Organist was Mrs. Edward Votipka. Pallbearers were Daryl Taylor, Ralph Jansen, Sterling Dyer, Robert Zalman, Robert Trauger and Richard Thomsen. Burial was in the Exeter Cemetery at Exeter.
