Description	:	MRS. DORA GOULEY Mrs. Dora Gouley, who had resided in this vicinity nearly all her life, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her son, Clyde M. Gourley, six miles northwest of Villisca. Her death resulted from an injury to a vertebra in her neck from a fall several months ago, which cause partial paralysis. Metta Mel Dora Smith was born in the norther part of Iowa on November 26, 1859, and was 69 years old at her death. She was married to John Leonard Gourley fifty years ago and to them three children were born. They are Frank and Dr. C. M. Gourley of Villisca and Mrs. Harry Moore of Anacortes, Washington. She leaves also two brothers, Frank Smith of Long Beach California and Harry Smith of Ancacortes Washington and two sisters, Mrs. Al Cooney, Villisca and Mrs. Minnie Persing, Kellerton. Mrs. Gourley was a resident of Villisca 30 years, residing her until recently when she went to live in the home of her sons on account of impaired health. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Following her death her body was brought to the Wolfe Funeral Home to await the funeral which will be held in the Methodist Church this Friday afternoon at 2:00 i’clock with Rev. Geo. Lawton in charge of the services. Pall bearers will be Clint, Earl, Theodore, and Harry Cooney, Billy Wheeler, and Ed Fryer and interment will be in the Villisca Cemetery.
