Description	:	Mrs. Mellie McAlister Haselden, age 96, widow of the late Roswell L. Haselden, passed away Friday, October 04, 2013, at Prince George Healthcare in Georgetown following an extended illness. Mrs. Haselden was born in Hemingway, SC, the daughter of the late Myers J. and Jeannette Hanna McAlister. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of Hemingway First Baptist Church, where her father was a charter member. She was also a choir member and member of the WMU. Survivors include her grandchildren, Brandy (Carrie) Haselden, Christopher (Brittany) Carter, and Donna Carter; and son-in-law, Travis Carter; great grandchildren, BeBe Farrell, Hunter Haselden, and Haley... Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 07, 2013, at Hemingway First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554. The family will not have a local home headquarters. Memorial donations may be made to Prince George Healthcare Center, 901 Maple Street, Georgetown, SC, 29440, or to Hemingway First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 485, Hemingway, SC, 29554.
