Description	:	Melva Irene McClure, 98, of Bloomfield, Iowa died March 5, 2012 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born February 12, 1914 near Selma, Iowa to Edward and Clara Bevier Dooley. She married Kenneth Harold McClure July 1, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He preceded her in death January 25, 1997. She was a homemaker. Melva was a member of the Bethlehem Christian Church where she was active as a Suday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, and in Bethlehem Ladies Aid. Read More	Melva Irene McClure, 98, of Bloomfield, Iowa died March 5, 2012 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born February 12, 1914 near Selma, Iowa to Edward and Clara Bevier Dooley. She married Kenneth Harold McClure July 1, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He preceded her in death January 25, 1997. She was a homemaker. Melva was a member of the Bethlehem Christian Church where she was active as a Suday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, and in Bethlehem Ladies Aid. She is survived by two sons, Robert McClure of Trinity, Florida, Dennis McClure of Bloomfield, Iowa; two daughters, Marilyn Downing and Eunice Hill both of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren: and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Gale and Dean Dooley; and three sisters, Gleda Davis, Gwendolene Lepper, and Lorene Lynch. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastors Jesse Hill and Richard Friend officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin after 10 an Friday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Bethlehaem Christian Church.
