She passed away at age 99 on Oct. 5, 2012, at Heritage Place Nursing Home in Kalispell, where she had been a resident for the last several years. Melva married Bill Crawford on Dec. 14, 1931, in Missoula. In her later years, she was married to Woody Krantz and Albert Hansen. Melva attended schools in Round Butte, lived in Polson and St. Ignatius and the Flathead Valley for many years.... Melva married Bill Crawford on Dec. 14, 1931, in Missoula. In her later years, she was married to Woody Krantz and Albert Hansen. Melva attended schools in Round Butte, lived in Polson and St. Ignatius and the Flathead Valley for many years. She enjoyed time spent with family, playing cards and camping. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Melva was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, her husbands and daughters, Lorna and Elsie. She is survived by two daughters, Ella Mae (Leo) Walchuk of Helena and Geraldine Jore of Ronan; two sons, Walter (B.J.) Crawford of Columbia Falls and Dennis (Bonnie) Crawford of Helena; son-in-law Bill Repnak of Lakeside; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Grogan Funeral Home, 101 Sixth Ave. E., in Polson. A reception will follow. -Source: Missoulian, 9 Oct 2012.
