Description	:	Melva Wolsey King, beloved wife of the late Harold Thomas King, passed away peacefully at the Ford Macleod Extendicare on Saturday, June 5, 1999 at the age of 84 years. Melva was born on July 9, 1914 in Cardston, Alberta. She was the oldest child of Burrell Motley Wolsey and Alvena Olsen who came from Utah in the early days. Her brother, Burley Motley Wolsey, Jr. predeceased her on December 25, 1962. Melva was born on July 9, 1914 in Cardston, Alberta. She was the oldest child of Burrell Motley Wolsey and Alvena Olsen who came from Utah in the early days. Her brother, Burley Motley Wolsey, Jr. predeceased her on December 25, 1962. Surviving her are two brothers: Kelvin Wolsey and Ardell Wolsey who reside in British Columbia and one sister, Williene Gregson of Lethbridge. Melva was predeceased by her husband Harold Thomas King (son of L.D. and Lizzie King of Raymond) on October 31, 1995, and an infant son, Roben Burrell King on July 15, 1943. Her children are: Connie (Keith) Hancock—Ric (Sheri) Hancock, Kristie (John J.) Fisher, Jr., John Hancock, Jill (Don) Tanner; Wayne (Anita) King—Michael, Danny, John, Judy, Suzie, Jodi, Tammi, Sarah, Serena; Carole (Ted) Lybbert—Michael and Wendy Hamilton, Jennifer and Emily Lybbert. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren. Melva loved gardening, raised herbs and vegetables and lovely flowers of every kind. She loved the primary children and taught for many years. She also loved to write about family and friends. Each one was dear to her as she was to them. Friends may meet the family at the church prior to the service on June 10, 1999 from 11:30 to 12:10 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 1999 at 12:30 p.m. at the LDS church, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond. Interment in the Cardston Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Christensen Salmon Funeral Home, Lethbridge.
