She was married August 21, 1956 to Harley B. Lohr who preceded her in death on March 20, 2011. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brother Dave, sister Rosie, and infant brother Freddie. Mrs. Lohr is survived by children Charles (Linda) Lohr, Nevada, Loretta Sue Adams (Rodney Millington), Bucyrus, David (Kewanee) Lohr, Carey, OH., Pam Barker, Bucyrus, Peggy (Robert) Leighton, Katy, TX.; adopted son, Ernie Temple; nine grandchildren; several step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers Bill of Montana; Carl and Charlie both of Nevada, OH., Earl and Stanley both of Bucyrus, Paul, Clyde, and Donald all of Kentucky; sisters Rita Houck, Mary Nolen, Geraldine Grayson, Jane Carpenter, all of Vanceburg, KY, and Debra Pyles of Florida. Melvey was a homemaker and community volunteer. She had worked at Altercare in Bucyrus for 10 years. She lived in this area most of her life and was a member of the Oceola Pentecostal Tabernacle where she was baptized September 11, 2011. Melvey was also a member of the Oceola Homemakers, the YMCA, and the Red Hatters. Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 pm-8pm where services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will be held Friday at Oceola Cemetery.
