He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Neva Donahoe. Born March 22, 1916, in Stanwood, a son of Carl and Anna Pruess Oldorf, he graduated from Stanwood High School in 1933, and married Jean Vandeberg on February 15, 1941, in Stanwood. A lifetime area resident, he farmed until retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, where he was a former trustee and member of the men's chorus, and had been Freemont Township clerk for many years.
