Description	:	Melvin R. "Bud" Linback, 75, of Lafayette, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Seton Specialty Hospital. Born in Francesville on March 15, 1932, he was the son of the late Chris A. and Irinda Farrar Linback. He had resided in Lafayette since 1955. He married Dorothy Reutebuch in 1955. She survives. Mr. Linback worked at Ross Gear 32 years. A veteran of the Army, he served from 1949 to 1953 in Korea. Surviving with his wife are three sons, Melvin and Mark Linback of Lafayette and Terry Linback (wife: Jody) of Pyrmont; two daughters, Vickey Neal (husband: Dave) of Lafayette and Marcia Roller (husband: Don) of Lafayette; and three sisters, Alma Ewing (husband: Bob) of Francesville, Clara Linback of Indianapolis and Alice Shreves of Union Mills.
