Description	:	Meredith Ann Ferguson, 75, of Creston, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Greater Regional Hospice Home –HCI in Creston. Meredith Ann (Miller) Ferguson was born on May 7, 1942 to Virgil D. and June I. (Lane) Miller in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, at their family home. She attended grade school through high school in the same school building in her hometown of Mt. Ayr. Read More	Meredith Ann Ferguson, 75, of Creston, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Greater Regional Hospice Home –HCI in Creston. Meredith Ann (Miller) Ferguson was born on May 7, 1942 to Virgil D. and June I. (Lane) Miller in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, at their family home. She attended grade school through high school in the same school building in her hometown of Mt. Ayr. While in high school, she worked at her grandfather's grocery store as well as the county engineer's office as a typist. She moved to Des Moines after high school graduation, then attended Graceland University in Lamoni, IA. for a short time. She returned to Des Moines where she met Darl. They were married on June 4, 1961. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. They were privileged to live in many parts of the Midwest due to Darl's employment. They made many friends and cherish the memories of those communities. They became the parent's of four sons; and she proudly supported them in all of their sports and school activities – never missing a sporting event they were involved in. She served as Cub Scouts Leader, Room Mother, Church Pianist, and Sunday School Teacher for many years and loved all children. In 1971 a friend asked her to plan and cook for a church camp he was directing, and she found she loved providing meals for all those who attended. She loved cooking for all people and occasions. For many years she cooked for camps, retreats and reunions in the St. Louis area and later in Kansas City, Missouri area, and taught Sunday school there also. She was baptized a member of the Community of Christ and after moving to Creston she attended Salem Lutheran Church, participating in the quilting group and ladies circle. As a community member, she played in a card club and attended morning coffee with friends at McDonald's. These ladies became best of friends, and a great support for Ann during her time in Creston. Ann was proceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother Larry Miller, and a brother and sister in infancy. She was committed to serving God, and had a great faith which she shared with many people. Even in her final stage of live, she witnessed her love of her Lord and Savior, and touched many lives in both Mercy West Hospital, Clive, IA. and Greater Regional Hospice House, Creston, IA. She looked forward to going to Heaven to see her family and many loved ones. She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all those who knew her as a special loving person. Burial will be private at the Tingley Cemetery, north of Tingley.
