| Description | : | Merle Landon Whaley was the second of seven children, and the first son of James D. and Jessie(Knaus) Whaley. He married Blanche M Hulvey on May 31, 1940. He performed military service for our country in the European Theater of World War II. The four brothers Merle, Newell, Blaine, and Wesley all went off to war. In civilian life, Merle spent many years operating a motor grader to maintain the Routt County roads. He and Blanche had three sons: Dale Wesley Whaley, and two still living. |
