North Avenue, who died of an apparent heart attack Saturday morning at the Beach Club Hotel, Naples, Fla. where she was spending several weeks with her husband, Atty. John E. Bauknecht. Mrs. Bauknecht was stricken with the attack shortly before 10:15 a.m. at the hotel and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Naples Community Hospital. She was born Nov. 19, 1897 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of Thomas and Sally L. Fowler Springer and had been a school teacher there following her graduation from Ohio Northern University. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church here, the East Palestine Chapter 381, Order of Eastern Star, the Alpha Eta Study Club and was a teacher of the Elma Sutherin Class of the church Sunday School and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Besides her husband whom she married July 27, 1922, she leaves a son, Atty. John W. of Hillsdale, N. J., two daughters, Miss Virginia L. of Washington D. C., and Miss Nancy L. of Medina, a brother Ralph W. Springer of Martins Ferry and four grandchildren. It will be recalled that another brother, Atty. Frank W. Springer died suddenly of a heart attack several years ago while playing golf. The Rev. Wallace Aker will conduct the services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery. ***********************************************************
