On November 23, 1963 he was united in marriage to Carol Jean Wilson, later divorcing. After working at Firestone for a while he started working for the City of Iowa Falls, ending up as the City Street Superintendent at the time of his retirement in 2008 after forty-one-and-a-half years. During his life he was the President of the Iowa Falls Saddle Club and he also owned and operated the Fiberglass Horse and Circle C Campground. In June of 1998... In June of 1998 Merlin Clock founded the Circle C Rodeo. After 18 years, his influence on the people that have met him at the Circle C Rodeo is too great to put into words. He has touched thousands of lives, and his legacy will be remembered for years to come. Funeral services were held at the Bethany Lutheran Church Iowa Falls.
