Gugle, Kingsbury and Scott, 109 N. Court. He was traffic manager for John Deere Ottumwa Works, and had been associated with Deere for the past 28 years. He was born Dec. 23, 1917, in Van Buren County, and had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 32 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Empire Masonic Lodge No. 269, and Kaaba Shrine in Davenport, Elks Lodge No. 347, Ottumwa Chamber of Commerce and had been active in United Fund campaigns. He was married to Daisy G. Goemaat, Dec. 24, 1938, in Ottumwa. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Jerry of Dubuque; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Koch of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Iva Cohenour of Ottumwa. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jordan Jacobsen of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be H.L. Yates, DeWitt Edmonson, Vernon E. Brumley, S.H. Lane, C.O. Schlunz and Harold Larson. The casket will remain at Johnson Funeral Chapel until noon Wednesday when it will be taken to the church and closed at the beginning of the service. The family has established a memorial payable to the Heart Fund. Contributions should be sent to the Johnson Funeral Chapel.
