Pool home for Mrs. Mernie Kisner, who passed away Sunday afternoon. Direct cause of her death was a heart attack, but her health had been failing rapidly during the past two years or more. She was 83 years, 1 month, and 18 days old. Her maiden name was Mernie O. Buckland and she was born March 28, 1858 at Oakfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lucius and Eletha Buckland. She was educated in the schools of Wisconsin and moved to McLeod Co. in Minnesota in the year 1874. She was married July 4, 1874 to John Martin Kisner at Glencoe, Minnesota. Born to this union were four children: (Angie) Mrs. A. E. Pool; J. Sherman of New Salem; Otto of Thief River Falls, Minnesota; and (Sadie) Mrs. Henry Anding, now deceased. The couple moved to New Salem in the spring of 1903 and in the spring of 1915, they moved to Minneapolis. They remained there a year, and next spring moved to Bismarck (1917). In October 1924 they moved back to New Salem and have livere here the greater part since. Mr. Kisner passed away March 14, 1925 and (Sadie) Mrs. Henry Anding May 27, 1913. Mrs. Kisner was a member of the OES of Bismarck and a member of the Episcopal church of Brownton, Minnesota. Rev. G. W. Stewart, pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Mandan officiated at the funeral. Mrs. W. A. Kusbker, Misses Velma Nagel and Evelyn Klosmann provided music. Mrs. Ruth Cordner and a group of friends from Bismark were here for the funeral. Otto Kisner arrived here April 26 and had remained through his mother's last illness and death. He expects to be here for a few days. Pall bearers included -- Henry Klusmann; John Gasbe; Charles Holle; George Hoile; Fred Heid; and Alfred Egli. Card of Thanks - We wish to express our sincere thants to Rev.
