Description	:	Mervin Peterson was born on the family farm near Platte SD on June 17, 1923 to Alfred and Caroline Peterson. He passed away on April 22, 2011 at the Platte Care Center at the age of 87. On August 27, 1945 Mervin married Donna Paulson. They lived on a farm north of Platte and raised seven children there. Mervin was active in his community and church by serving on several boards throughout the years. He lived on the same farmstead for 80 years.
