| Description | : | U.S. Congressman. He was the brother of Congressman Jesse Franklin and member of the North Carolina State House of Commons, (1800-01). In 1807, he was elected as a Republican to the Tenth Congress and to the net three succeeding Congresses, serving until 1815. After his term, he served in the North Carolina State Senate, (1828-29) and from 1838, until his death at age 67. |

you had three more famous brothers ,Shadrack, Abednego, Abednego started Franklin College in Athens, Ga., it is now the university of Georgia, his daughter Ann buried on campus, died in childbirth, Jesse Franklin was Rev war hero at Battle of Kings Mtn and Guilford Co Courthouse, also Governor of N.C., buried at Guilford National Park, Greensboro, N.C.
