Occupation: Retired Farmer MO d/c 21198 Information on file with Shelby County Historical Society & Museum Michael Hershey Dies in Missouri Shelbyville, Mo., May 20.—The funeral of Michael Hershey, a well known farmer, who died at his home east of Cherry Box, Tuesday, was held from the home at 10 a. m. today. Death resulted from Bright's disease from which he had been a sufferer for a number of years. He was 76 years old. Mr. Hershey was born in Canada, February 3, 1844, coming to Missouri fifty-one years ago. For the last fifty years he has lived on the farm near Cherry Box. He is survived by his wife and six children, four sons, Ben Hershey at home, Jake and Henry Hershey of Leonard, and Allen Hershey of Detroit. Mich., and two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Yoder of Cherry Box, and Mrs. Mattie Renner of Fairfield, Neb. Funeral services were conducted by Rev.
