Description	:	Michael Edward ‘Mac' McAleer, 91, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Fla. Mr. McAleer was born Jan. 23, 1913 in Staunton and was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth McAleer. He managed Luray Orchards, which he co-owned with his father-in-law. He served on the Page County School Board and was a long-time member of the Junior Supper Club in Luray. He married Hazel Bentley Hounihan on March 31, 1978 and relocated to Maurertown, where they lived until they moved to their winter home in Vero Beach, Fla. in 2001. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael McAleer of Luray and Vero Beach, Fla., and Kim McAleer of Winston-Salem, N. C. and Charleston, S. C. A Daughter, Karen McAleer of Glen Allen; a granddaughter and a great granddaughter. Burial in Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
