Description	:	Frank M. Minton 1909 ~ 2012 FRANK M. MINTON was born July 4, 1909, in O'Neill, Nebraska, to Patrick and Julia (Lawless) Minton. He passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Oakland-Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 103 years. On January 23, 1933, Frank married Mable Ball in Walthill, Nebraska. They were blessed with three children, Anita, Michael and James. They farmed near Walthill until they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1957. They returned to Lyons in 1959. MINTON was born July 4, 1909, in O'Neill, Nebraska, to Patrick and Julia (Lawless) Minton. He passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Oakland-Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska, at the age of 103 years. On January 23, 1933, Frank married Mable Ball in Walthill, Nebraska. They were blessed with three children, Anita, Michael and James. They farmed near Walthill until they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1957. They returned to Lyons in 1959. Mable passed away June 10, 2007. In 2008, Frank moved to the Logan Valley Manor. Frank was a very hard worker. He had a very strong and creative mind. As a farmer, he developed a love for his pulling/working horses. He had a way with his horses. He moved into construction in 1957. Frank mostly formed foundations, framed and roofed. . Frank was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lyons.. Frank enjoyed playing pinochle and pitch, and spending time with his family. Family was very important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mable; son, Michael; granddaughter, Roxan Martin; four brothers, Henry, Johnny, Jerry and Jim; and sister, Alice Matthews. Survivors include his daughter, Anita (Gerald) Newill of Lyons, NE; son, James (Sharlene) of Austin, TX; daughter-in-law, Elda Minton of Lyons, NE; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 10:30 am from Memorial United Methodist Church in Lyons.. VISITATION: Tuesday, October 23, 2012, 1-8 pm with family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons. Visitation will also be held Wednesday, one hour prior to services at the church. BURIAL: Lyons Cemetery, Lyons MEMORIALS: Donor's Choice Please feel free to send your condolences to the family.
