Description	:	Michael was born in Sioux Falls, SD on August 17, 1951 to Phillip and Leona (Heumiller) McCormick. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and was baptized, confirmed and on April 7, 1973, married his high school sweetheart, Kay Rayman, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They welcomed two children, a son, Matt and a daughter, Katie. With his wife by his side, they owned and operated McCormick Motors in Salem. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and was baptized, confirmed and on April 7, 1973, married his high school sweetheart, Kay Rayman, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was involved in numerous organizations including: Salem volunteer firefighter, Salem Community Development, PSA (of which he was president for many years), McCook County Pro Pheasants, McCook Wildlife Club, Knights of Columbus, Foresters, and the Sioux Empiriums. Mike was also an avid hunter and golfer. Many people will remember he fiercely loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by: his parents, Phillip and Leona, his brother, Robert, his father and mother-in-law, William and Joan Rayman, and a granddaughter, Kennedy Jibben. He is survived by: his wife, Kay; son, Matt (Lori) McCormick; daughter, Katie (Chris) Jibben; brothers, Bill McCormick, Kevin (Jane) McCormick, and Phillip (Angie) McCormick; sisters, Carole (Roger Wanek) McCormick and Mary Jo (William) Oertli; grandchildren, Michaela, Zane, Burke, and Coy McCormick and Crayton and Paige Jibben as well as numerous family members and friends.
