Mike was born Sept. 27, 1962, in Waterville. He was the eldest of three children of Gerald H. Grenier and Nancy (Pomerleau) Turmelle. Mike graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1980. He enlisted in the Air Force for a few years following high school. After being honorably discharged, he was employed by various automotive businesses; most recently Central Maine Motors in Waterville. He was currently employed as a parts manager by Bill Dodge in Brunswick. Mike was a great people-person, always there to help anyone with anything. He was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed activities such as golf, barbequing, gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and evening bonfires. But on Sundays, he enjoyed just sitting home watching NASCAR. He was also a wonderful cook, who would never tell the "secret ingredient." But more then anything he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mike was predeceased by his father, Gerard H. Grenier; and his brother, Reginald J. Grenier. He is survived by, and will be deeply missed by, his mother Nancy Turmelle and stepfather Joe Turmelle of Sanford; his wife, Sandi Grenier of Whitefield; his daughters Jessica Grenier and her fiancé, Josh Poulin, of Canaan and Sarah Grenier of Fairfield and their mother Vera Grenier of Fairfield; his sister, Debbie McLeod and her husband, Bruce Jr., of Fairfield; his nieces, Kelcie Grenier of Clinton and Cassidy McLeod of Fairfield; two stepdaughters, Ashley Santano of Whitefield and Jessica Heinssen and her husband, Alvin, of Florida; and special lifelong friends, Mike Otis, Jim Bolduc and Karen Pelletier. There will be a celebration of his life at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Calvery Temple, 60 West River Road in Waterville. A gathering will take place following ceremony.
