Read More	RAPID CITY - Michael Keith Coley, 61, Rapid City, died peacefully in the arms of his wife, on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Mike was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 10, 1945. He lived most of his young life in Huron, SD with his mother, Helen "Maxine" (Kanaly) Davis, and stepfather Bob Davis. Mike graduated from Huron high school in 1963. Most of his career life was spent as an alcohol and drug counselor. More recently he was the program director for the South Dakota Health Professionals Assistance Program. Mike's love of athletics was apparent at a young age. In high school, Mike played football, basketball and American Legion Baseball. As an adult, Mike continued to be active in athletics. He could be seen spending countless hours watching Post 22 baseball games, as well as playing both slow pitch softball, fast pitch softball, and golf. His greatest enjoyment of athletics actually began at the age of 50, when Mike began playing baseball again, the sport he loved the most during his life. Mike met many of his closest friends during this time, playing in baseball tournaments in both Phoenix, Arizona, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Mike touched many lives through both his profession and personality. His quick wit and sense of humor made him a true joy to be around, and his story telling ability and generous heart made him memorable to everyone he met. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Glenyce Nordmeyer; a son, Chad Coley and his wife, Sheryl, Rapid City; a daughter Christa Williams and her husband Joseph, Springfield, IL and grandsons Bryant Williams, Mason Williams and Adam Coley. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Bob Davis, and mother, Helen Maxine Davis. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 9, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4500 Jackson Blvd., with Rev. William Zandri presiding. Burial will be Monday, June 11, at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Huron. A memorial has been established and donations may be sent to 4719 Steamboat Circle, Rapid City, SD, 57702.
