Michael was born Dec. 24, 1963 in Kansas City, Mo. to Gary and Shirley Fowler. Michael graduated from El Dorado High School in May 1982. Read More	El Dorado Times, The (KS) - Thursday, September 15, 2005 Michael Kevin Fowler, 41, of El Dorado, passed away at his home Sept. 13, 2005. Michael was born Dec. 24, 1963 in Kansas City, Mo. to Gary and Shirley Fowler. Michael graduated from El Dorado High School in May 1982. He continued his education at Butler Community College and graduated from with a teaching degree from Kansas State University in 1987. Michael began his teaching career in Fort Worth, Texas. He taught middle school math and coached there. Michael returned to El Dorado and taught for several years at El Dorado Middle School. He continued teaching middle school and math and sharing his love of athletics by coaching numerous sports. After he ended his teaching and coaching career, he was a salesman for John K. Fisher, Inc. Michael's greatest love was of helping kids. Even after leaving education Michael continued to help former students with math, and assisted in coaching and supporting former students and his nephews in football, baseball and track. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan, a staunch K-State fan and supporter of the local kids in all sports activities. Michael is survived by his parents, Gary and Shirley Fowler; one brother Mark (Fish) and his wife Tina Fowler of Ogden, Utah; two sisters, Delinda and her husband Dan Young, Terri and her husband Preston Turner all of El Dorado. Five nephews, Mark and his wife Amber Orndorff of Elizabethton, Tenn., Jake Orndorff, Trevor, Kesh and Bridger Turner all of El Dorado; two nieces, Erica Young of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Jessica Young of El Dorado. Aunts and uncles; Darrel and Evelyn Hughes of Geneva, Neb., Kenneth and Twila Hughes of Parker Colo., Ronald and Eugenia Hughes of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Darlene Hughes of Fort Collins, Colo., Genevieve and James Tanner of Valencia Calif., Delores and Fritz Murrell of Phoenix, Arizona, Gerald and Trisha Hughes of Morgan Hill, Calif., Sharon and Roger Cudaback of Exeter, Neb., Melvin Motis of Exeter, Neb., Frank and Ramona Fowler, Kenneth and Lois Fowler all of El Dorado, and numerous cousins. Michael leaves behind his beloved puppy Max. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph and Mildred Hughes and Frank and Dorothy Fowler, his aunt Jean Hughes, aunt Carol Motis, and uncle Robert Hughes. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be left with the Wildcat Athletic Support Development Fund (WASD) c/o Gary Melcher, El Dorado High School or the American Legion Golf Course Memorial. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Friday, Sept. 16 2005 at 1 p.m. Kirby-Morris Funeral Home is assisting with the arangements.
