Funeral services will be April 16th at the Gering First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Michael was born on November 18th, 1953 to Elbert and Jane (Harris) Corr in Sherman, TX. Michael was born on November 18th, 1953 to Elbert and Jane (Harris) Corr in Sherman, TX. He graduated from high school in 1971 and earned his associates degree at Nebraska Western.In January of 1973, Michael married Linda Spurgeon of Scottsbluff and they had four beautiful daughters together. They moved to Denver where Mike attended Denver University and earned his bachelor's degree in accounting. Michael preferred living in a small town so in 1975 he moved back to Western Nebraska to farm with his father and start a CPA business. Michael took a lot of pride in his work and Husker football. He was very proud of the fact that he was among the 10% of people who passed all four parts of the CPA exam the first time. He had a special fondness of music and baseball. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his 3 grandchildren, his 4 daughters and his dog, Babs.Michael was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Corr. He's survived by his mother, Jane Corr of Scottsbluff, NE. Siblings, Alan and Gwen Corr of Minden, NE. Denise Corr of Lincoln, NE. Pam Peterson of Shawnee, KS. His daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Janelle Corr of Lincoln, NE. Matthew, Tracy, Audrey and Alden Johnsen of Muskegon, MI. Don, Erin and Benjamin Miller of Alexandria, VA. Amanda Corr of Portland, OR.
