MICHAEL MITRISIN obit Michael Mitrisin was born May 21, 1864 in Czechoslovakia and died at his home in Oskaloosa September 22, 1929, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 1 day. He came to America in 1880 at the age of 16 years and settled in Hazelton, PA. On April 30, 1887, he was united in marriage to Mary Dvoroy. To them were born seven children, four boys and three girls. Mary and Joseph died in infancy. The family lived in Pennsylvania twelve years and in 1889 moved to the home place in Mahaska county. Mr. Mitrisin was seriously ill for eight months with heart trouble and complications. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: John and Michael Mitrisin, Anna Lucas, Pauline Yarkosky, and George Mitrisin, twelve grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held September 24, 1929, at St. Mary's Catholic church, Father E. F. Jackson officiating assisted by Father Heinen of Lovilia and Father Seidell of What Cheer. Burial took place in St. Mary's cemetery. Obit appeared as newspaper clipping in effects of Anna Karaff Biros dated 1929. /dek
