Read More	Holding his wife's hand, Michael Bolinger, 61, passed peacefully on to his Father, Friday, June 14, 2013. He was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Tipton, to L. Owen (deceased) and Mary Ann Bolinger. On June 8, 1974, he married Lynne Catherine Hayes, who survives. Michael graduated from Kokomo High School in 1969 and Wheaton College in 1973. He earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in 1977. Then, he joined his father in the practice of law. He was a member of the Howard County Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar Association. At the time of his retirement, he served in the Public Defender's Office. Then, he continued as an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech State College, where he was selected as teacher of the year. He was an avid lover of life. He was skilled in furniture making, photography, sailing. He was a charter member of The Hoosier Hammerheads, an international aerobatic competition club. He was a multi-engine instrument-rated pilot; he had begun preparation for aerobatic competitive flying. He loved his motorcycles and cars. He loved his wife; he loved his children and grandchildren; he loved his extended family and friends. He loved his constant companion, The Iverson. He loved serving on the music team at Oakbrook Community Church. But most of all, he loved his God. Also surviving are his children, Dr. Allyson Fewell USAMC, San Antonio, and Zachary Bolinger, San Antonio; two grandsons, Drew and Noah Fewell; sister, Lisa (Jim) LeMasters, Winona Lake; brother, Matthew (Stephanie) Bolinger, Kokomo; mother-in-law, Evelyn Hayes, Melbourne, Fla.; sister-in-law, the Rev. Janis Tobias, Kansas City; Kris (Steve) Amerson, Granada Hills, Calif.; brother-in-law, Kenneth M. Hayes, Charlotte, N.C.; many nieces and nephews; and close friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Nathan. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has the care of the family. You may greet them from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 1315 West Lincoln Road; and one hour prior to the funeral service, which begins at 10 a.m. Monday, at Oakbrook Church, 3409 S. 200 West. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at Casa Bella Banquet Room, 3001 S. Webster St., from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, for family and friends. Memorial contributions can be made to The Kokomo Rescue Mission, a ministry dear to Mike's heart. Messages of condolence may be left at www.shirleyandstout.com. Mike's body will be buried at Kokomo Memorial Park, next to his father. His soul is already flying.
