He was born Oct. 6, 1846, in Reading, Pa., and served in the civil war with Battery G., First Pennsylvania artillery. The widow, Mrs. Sarah J. Seiders, and a sister, Mrs. Susan Yeager of Reading, Pa., survive. The body will be taken today to the Seiders hom in Roanoke. Mr. Seiders was a member of the Methodist church.
