Funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday August 18, 2012 with military rites following the service at the Mohr Funeral hOme in South Sioux City Neb. with Rev. Mike was born on August 7, 1942 in Muscatine Iowa, the son of Viola Creamer and Mike Martin Sr. He grew up in Muscatine and graduated from Muscatine High School. He sold insurance brefly before he entered the Army durng the Vietnam War. He started driving a truck at a very early age. Mike moved to South Sioux City in the early 80's. For the last several years he drove a truck for Bill Rohde in Homer Nebrasa. He married Margaret Goreham on December 18, 1991 in Elk Point South Dakota.'' He was a member of the South Sioux City American Legion Post #307. Mike was a very free spirit. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. He loved trucking, his cats, and the Chicago Cubs. Survivors include his wife Margaret Martin of South Sioux City Neb. step children, Rick Twiford and wife Shelly of Dakota City Neb. Jerry Twiford of Stockton Calif. Terry Twiford of Papillion Neb. Bert Twiford and wife Sherri of Sioux City Iowa, Becky Hansen and husband Rick of South Sioux City Neb.many grandchildrem and great grandchildren, brothers, Tom Martin of Santa Maria, Calif. Steve Martin and wife Denise of Naperville, Il. Jerry Martin of Muscatine, Donnie Reiner of Muscatine, Sheryl Bendenle and husband Paul of Santa Maria Calif. and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Martin. .
