Mr. Sedlacek’s death on Wednesday of last week took place at the home of a son, John, near here, following a third paralytic stroke. He was first stricken two years ago and suffered a second stroke last October which left him almost helpless and unable to speak. Since the October attack Mr. And Mrs. Sedlacek made their home with their son, John but had lived alone in Vining for two years before that after retiring from the farm. The decedent was born in Bohemia in 1854 and was married there in 1890. The couple sailed for America soon after their wedding, settling in Oneida township, where they were employed two or three years by Mike Krezek and James Hora. Later they bought land of their own and farmed for nearly forty years. Five children were born to the couple. One son, Joe, died four years ago. Those who survive together with the widowed mother, are John, Clutier, Mrs. Frank Starits, Garwin; Mrs. Joe Doeckal, Dysart; and Mrs. Joe Kahoutek, Dysart.
